We proudly introduce the renovated 4* hotel Van der Valk The Hague – Wassenaar. The hotel, on the edge of The Hague and close to the wooded Wassenaar, is the ideal base for both business and pleasure due to its location. Although the hotel can compete with the largest and most modern hotels in The Hague and the surrounding area, its low-rise buildings give it the feeling of a country house. And as you are used to at Van der Valk hotels, you can count on an attractive stay, characterized by its family character.
THE HOTEL
In 2023, the hotel will be completely renovated and expanded to no fewer than 225 spacious hotel rooms. The rooms are equipped with all the amenities you can expect from a 4* hotel; from air conditioning, safe and (French) balcony to coffee and tea making facilities and in some cases also a lovely bathtub. In addition to the standard rooms, the hotel also offers unique rooms. Consider, for example, a Wellness Suite with its own jacuzzi and sauna, or a luxurious Penthouse with a kitchenette and spacious living room with gas fireplace. Ideal also for a longer stay.
Within the hotel you can dine in our Eiber restaurant, enjoy a cocktail in our Gastrobar or order fresh croissants in the bakery. You can then exercise these off again in our modern fitness centre. Moreover, the hotel has its own shop for daily necessities. It is also wheelchair friendly, has lifts and there is a ramp at the main entrance.
CONFERENCES, MEETINGS & EVENTS
The hotel has many options for business guests. Whether you want to facilitate a meeting or organize a conference or event, we have capacity for up to 400 people. In one of our 14 rooms, equipped with daylight, we can arrange everything for you according to your wishes. Large or small, from party to presentation or dinner, we are happy to think along with you!
LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY
From the hotel you can easily reach the World Forum, the versatile center of The Hague or one of the many attractions and museums in the area. You can easily find yourself in the dunes or on the beach for a meeting break or team building.
Van der Valk The Hague – Wassenaar is easily accessible, both by public transport and by car (located on the A4/A44/A12). There are more than enough free parking spaces at the hotel. Schiphol Amsterdam and Rotterdam The Hague Airport can both be reached within half an hour. With a bus stop in front of the door, you can reach the center and station of The Hague within 10 minutes by bus.
A SUSTAINABLE CHARACTER
Thanks to heat pumps and solar panels, the hotel will function completely without gas. We generate the gas we use ourselves by means of: a biodigester, which is fed with food scraps. The hotel was built according to BREEAM standards and ecological measures have been taken to develop the local flora and fauna. Consider, for example, your own beehive, hives for bats and a vegetable garden to grow food. Furthermore, we function completely electrically. It feels good to take the world into account and this way we are ready for the future.
