From intimate meeting spots to large event venues: every year on September 1st, MeetingReview announces the best venues per province, according to guest reviews.
But it's not just about the reviews themselves. How actively venues ask their guests for reviews also plays a role in the rankings. This creates a transparent points system that automatically determines the winners. Marco Kole, the founder of the platform, says, "Venues eagerly await each year to see who scores the most points and wins the prize. The list is now out, and this month the winners will receive a beautiful plaque in the mail."
And there are quite a few, as each province awards the top 3 in five different categories, ranging from small to large. The winners can proudly call themselves the best for a year and make clever use of that in their communication.
Robert Spakman, co-founder of MeetingReview, explains: "A good review score is incredibly important for people looking for a venue for a meeting or event. And if you're also named the best, you can leverage that in your venue’s marketing, in quotes, on your website, and of course, on social media platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram. Winning an award gives bookers extra confidence."
MeetingReview has been active in the meeting and event industry for over 10 years and sees the number of reviews growing every year. Robert Spakman adds: "Last year, we received 12,751 reviews on the platform, about 8% more than the previous year. We're pleased with this growth. However, we notice that provinces like Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Zeeland, and Flevoland are still lagging a bit behind, and we hope they will gather more reviews. Of the over 5,000 listed venues, the province of Utrecht is the most active, with 596 locations, followed by North Brabant with 630 locations. In total, more than 56,000 reviews have now been written on MeetingReview."
